Fine Art and Flowers in the Naples Art District

Florida Art Gallery Floral

There are many ways to enjoy the fine arts in Naples, especially in the Naples Art District. The member artists present art experiences throughout the year for the public to enjoy. From self-guided tours of the creative’s working neighborhood and opportunities to take classes with member artists, to monthly art events and one-time exhibitions and presentations, the goal of the District is to instill in the community an awareness and appreciation of fine art.

Some of the recurring happenings in the Naples Art District, such as the Art Alive! events which are held on the first Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well as the third Saturdays of every month through May, are presented throughout the year. But as the art organization has grown, more crossover-style events have been added to their calendar. During these events, member artists collaborate with people in other creative disciplines. Most recently, the District presented the 2022 Art and Design Expo, a collaboration between member artists of the Naples Art District and interior design and decor professionals with whom they share their creative neighborhood; they shared how art and interior design inform one another during this public presentation. The next event to be presented in the Naples Art District is “ARTFUL ARRANGEMENTS: Original Artwork Re-Imagined in Floral Designs,” sponsored by Naples Daily News and Naples Botanical Garden.

The ARTFUL ARRANGEMENTS event will showcase the crossover between the fine arts and floral design, an art form unto itself just like interior design. It will be an exploration of the interplay between art and flowers, a kaleidoscopic viewing of floral interpretations of original artwork. This viewing of artwork reimagined in floral creations is a three-day event; it begins on the evening of February 22, 2022, with by-invitation preview parties for supporters, ambassadors, and patrons of the Naples Art District from 5-7 pm. The free experience is open to the community on February 23-24, from 10 am-5 pm on both days. During this premier event, visitors to the District will be able to meet floral designers and artists and view the floral interpretations of original artwork. Visitors will also have the opportunity to cast a vote for the People’s Choice Award for the Most Creative Floral Design. Sign up online to attend the ARTFUL ARRANGEMENTS event.

The Naples Art District (NAD), a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization, is home to a unique alliance of over 90 professional fine artists. The NAD neighborhood has the largest concentration of working artists in Southwest Florida, where member artists maintain working studios and galleries. NAD gives professional creatives a place to share their talents, which range across a wide variety of mediums and methods, with one another and the public. The art organization publishes an online calendar of art events and a list of classes available to anyone interested in meeting working artists and learning more about the fine arts. If you would like more information about the organization, don’t hesitate to contact the Naples Art District any time.
