The Naples Art District Painter Exhibits Work at the Naples Botanical Garden
Botanical Gardens Art Exhibition Naples, FL
Naples, Florida is a first-class US tourist destination. Naples is known for its beautiful beaches and tropical ecosystems, world-class fine dining and high-end shopping. It also has remarkable access to the arts and is flourishing as an arts hub. The Naples Art District (NAD) is a cornerstone of the city’s constantly growing arts scene, providing workspaces and exhibit spaces for professional fine artists working in a wide variety of mediums. One such artist moving forward in this space is NAD’s own Christy Noonan, a skilled painter.
Christy Noonan is currently exhibiting some of her work at the Naples Botanical Garden. “Meditations on Waterlilies” has been on display since July 15 to continue through September 11, 2022. The exhibit is in Kapnick Hall, at the entrance of the Water Garden where the waterlily collection is located. This collection of canvases was created after spending over a year visiting the Garden to study the lilies.
“Noonan uses her canvas to bring parts of the unseen world into our view. For over a year, she visited the Garden to study these floating wonders and capture their delicate, yet fierce, nature,” according to the event description on the Naples Botanical Garden’s official website. She explores form, color, light, and movement in each of her paintings, with the goal of capturing “the energy of her subject and celebrat[ing] her deep connection to the natural world.”

She will be on hand on September 3, 2022, from 9:00 to 10:30 am, to answer questions and offer insight into her artistic methods, and to chat about the waterlilies themselves and how they inspired her. This opportunity is included with Naples Botanical Garden admission, which is $25 for adults and $10 for children aged 4 through 17 years old. (Children under 4 years old and Garden members have free admission.) Don’t miss out on the Naples Botanical Gardens art exhibition, Naples, FL!
