Going Beyond Simple Crafts for Mother’s Day in Naples

Simple crafts for Mother’s Day

Simple Crafts for Mother’s Day

Though motherhood should be celebrated all year round, every year a day is set aside to recognize and honor mothers and maternal figures and their positive contributions to their families and society as a whole. Mother’s Day is an annual holiday observed in the United States on the second Sunday in May.

For children, Mother’s Day is observed and celebrated from their earliest years. From flower crafts for preschoolers to poems for elementary and middle school-aged children to baked treats for teens, DIY projects are often created for the women who have raised them. Simple crafts for Mother’s Day can be just the ticket, but what if you want to go further than a handmade card with a pithy saying written inside or a bouquet of flowers made from construction paper handprints? What if you want to do something more as well?

There is so much to do in Naples and all along the Paradise Coast to celebrate Mother’s Day. After the cards and flowers have been given, consider stepping out for brunch at Mom’s favorite restaurant. There are countless Mother’s Day brunch options in the area, with a wide range of delicious cuisines and seating available indoors or outdoors, so reserving a spot for you and your family will be no problem.

If you want to provide something special just for Mom, maybe presenting her with a spa day is the way to go. The Naples area is full of luxury spas, some of which are in local resorts and others which are separate establishments. Whether you include nail services, massage, facials, or any combination of treatments, local spas can all provide a relaxing and restorative experience.

Another thing to do to celebrate Mom in Naples is to go on outing. Maybe your Mom would enjoy a day on the water, a concert in the park, a stroll through the botanical garden, or a visit to one of the many local fine art galleries. There are so many things to do in Naples for Mother’s Day that you are spoilt for choice!

The Naples Art District is open and accessible to the public all year round; you can go on a self-guided tour or call to make appointments to stop in at specific studios or galleries. Feel free to contact the Naples Art District directly for more information about the organization’s mission and how it serves the community. And be sure to check out the official calendar of events and list of classes offered by many of the District’s member artists, as well, which is available online.
