Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find the Naples Art District?

Answer:

It’s easy to find us! The 100+ working artists in the Naples Art District currently have their working studios located in the Industrial Park off of the West Side of Airport Pulling Road and North Side Pine Ridge Road, including J&C Boulevard, North side of Pine Ridge Road, Seward Avenue, Shirley Street, Taylor Road, Trade Center Way, and Yahl Street. Our interactive map on the website will enable you to find the Naples Art District and locate the artists working in a wide variety of media. For more information call 239-249-1977.

Can I walk from studio to studio? Is there adequate parking?

Answer:

We recommend driving to the various studios as we are located in an industrial park without sidewalks and the studios are spaced out. Some studios are clustered together and some studio spaces are shared by several working artists. You will most often find open parking spaces adjacent to the studios.

Are there regular hours in the various artist studios?

Answer:

Not all of our artists will be at work in their studios on a given day. Although some of our studios are open daily, often 1-4pm with artists at work, other studios and galleries are open only by appointment. Our NAD artists are always delighted to meet visitors wanting to see their artwork, so feel free to call for appointments to connect with any of our artist members.

Can I buy original art direct from the artists?

Answer:

Yes!  That is one of the great advantages of visiting our studios and meeting our artists.  In addition to purchasing art shown in the various studios/galleries direct from the artist, you can also commission work specific to size and color palette from many of our member artists.
Do you offer art classes?

Answer:

Yes! Art classes and workshops are available for all levels, beginner to advanced, in a wide variety of media. Whereas most classes and workshops are listed on our website calendar, some of our artists teach on-going classes on a weekly basis. Many classes are for adults but there are opportunities for every age participant. Check our website class calendar and visit the artist’s website pages for more information. Register direct with the teaching artist.

As an artist, how do I find studio space in the Naples Art District?
Answer:

Many local artists choose to locate their working studios in the Naples Art District. Some artists choose to have their own working space and some choose to share a larger space with other artists.   Our member Richard Rosen (info@naplesart.studio) keeps a list of studios with vacancies for artists and artists looking for studios.  Also, keep your eyes open for the “for lease or for sale” signs in our popular neighborhood.   Most of us rent spaces but a few artists own their studio space.
How do I become a member of your vibrant artist alliance?
Answer:
We welcome new member artists who work in the Naples Art District or show their artwork in one of our working studios/galleries.  Artist members can participate in our Naples Art District ART ALIVE, EXPO, and other featured events and are included in our area map and artist listings in our full-color seasonal brochure with advertising privileges.   Artist memberships help to support our non-profit 501c-3.  As an all-volunteer-run organization, we do hope member artists will also contribute their time and talent to enable the Naples Art District to grow and thrive.   For membership information, contact our current Membership Chair, Kathleen Moore , (kathleenmoore@att.net)
How can I support the Naples Art District?
Answer:

We are a nonprofit 501c-3 organization and we value our supporters.  Please consider a gift to the Naples Art District, Inc. at any level. See the Become a Supporter benefits we provide to the generous individuals and businesses that help us fulfill our mission to enhance arts awareness and arts education here in Collier County.  We thank you in advance for your generosity which means the world to us.
How would I organize a group tour of the Naples Art District for my community/church/business association, etc?
We can arrange special tours, generally for groups of 8 or more people.  We can also arrange for artist demonstrations and/or artist presentations.    It is great to see “behind the scenes” in some studios and very engaging to see artwork come alive.   Some of our artists will also arrange special classes or workshops for groups of friends, neighbors, or colleagues.   For more information contact us at 239-249-1977.
