“I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it.” -Pablo Picasso
I began my career as a Textile Designer for fashion and home decor products. With a diverse background in color and finished textile product, I transitioned into management positions for Calvin Klein Home and Donna Karan Home among many others. I traveled the world developing beautiful luxurious products. With the demands of the fast-paced fashion markets, I found time for my first love, painting.
To broaden my skills as a painter I studied Botanical Art and Illustration at the New York Botanical Garden and took many classes to enhance my abilities in fine art. My inspiration is the beautiful colors and textures of the Southwest Florida coast with their organic and botanical influence. My vision is to create art with a sense of calm and tranquility with a touch of mystery.
I work in many media and with my diverse background I create harmonious color palettes in: Watercolor, Gouache, Acrylic, Pen & Pencil and Hand Painting on Silk. I love create realistic and abstract techniques and often a mix of both!
