My drawings and paintings are based on nature – the fragility of nature is a constant theme.  Birds, nests, feathers find their way into my artwork.  My intense drawings on Japanese papers are a process which develops over time.  I then infuse these drawings with encaustic wax.  The wax creates translucent surfaces and beautiful textures heightening the sensuous quality of the artwork.  The oil paintings are also based on nature.  My Florida garden is a constant source of inspiration.  Plants, flowers, birds, bugs are incorporated into my paintings.
