Art Alive! in the Naples Art District: A World Art Day Collaboration with United Arts Collier
Art Alive! in the Naples Art District is a series of fun Open Studio Days and Gallery Tours that are free and open to the public. On the first Wednesday and first Thursday of every month during the season, as well as the third Saturday, visitors from the local community and beyond descend on the Naples Art District, located just north of Pine Ridge Road on Shirley Street, to meet 100+ working artists who invite visitors into their art studios. Art Alive! days provide an opportunity to watch art in the making by local artists during live demonstrations, to purchase or commission original art, or simply to sign up for workshops or classes to learn from many of the member artists. Naples Art District will kick off the spring season this year by hosting an Art Alive! event in collaboration with United Arts Collier, to celebrate World Art Day.
During the Art Alive! World Art Day Collaboration with United Arts Collier, visitors to the Naples Art District will experience art in an exciting and entertaining way. They will be able to view many examples of District artists’ work, from paintings to sculptures to jewelry and several other mediums, as well as gain direct insight into the artistic means and methods of the member artists by way of presentations and live demonstrations, and opportunities to make art themselves in cooperation with the artists.
The Naples Art District Art Alive! World Art Day Collaboration is a very special event to celebrate World Art Day. Taking place on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm, this unique experience is not to be missed! On the day, take part in conversations, demonstrations, and art-making, while also enjoying performing arts performances in several galleries featuring a range of artists, including the musical stylings of Naples Art District member and singer-songwriter Jan Edwards and performers from Opera Naples and Arts Planet, theatrical performances from The Naples Players, poetic film projections from Lori Ersolmaz, and more! The Naples Art District and United Arts Collier welcome all fine arts enthusiasts with an interest in helping to support and share the arts in the local community. Taking time out to experience art during their Art Alive! World Art Day Collaboration is a step towards enriching the community through art.
