About The Artist

Tekla Taylor is a geologist and silversmith whose passion for working with silver, copper, and natural gemstones has evolved over the past decade. Drawing on her background in earth sciences, her work blends texture, geometry, and organic form to highlight the inherent beauty of the stones she selects. Many of her pieces feature distinctive turquoise sourced from small family‑run mines in the American West, reflecting both her experience in the region and her deep appreciation for its landscapes.

Tekla began her silversmithing journey at the Denver Jewelry Studio and has continued to refine her craft through study with seasoned and master metalsmiths. She is an active member of SNAG, Steamboat Creates, and the Naples Art District. Her work has been featured in Gulfshore Business Magazine and was showcased by invitation at the Marco Island Center for the Arts’ Natural Elements exhibition in 2023.
