About The Artist
Native Vermonter, Karen Barberi Culver, moved to Naples, Florida with her husband, Jim, in 2013. In her new environment and with some newfound time on her hands her ever-present artist’s imagination had her exploring and experimenting with several new art mediums. After taking many art classes with Artist Paula Brody her creativity exploded.
She quickly honed in on abstract art, and found herself attracted to acrylic paint, alcohol inks, and resin. Karen began to develop her distinctive style while perfecting her largely self-taught artistry. Her color palette ranges from the beautiful blues of the ocean to the vibrant colors of nature.
Karen and Jim now divide their time between Florida and Vermont. They love to travel, especially to the Turks and Caicos Islands and to Italy to visit family. They also enjoy playing Pickleball and love the time spent with their children, their four grandchildren and their two little morkie dogs.
