About The Artist

I make art because I am curious about a variety of subjects and the connections that occur
between them.

My formal training was in printmaking at Montana State University (BA) and Florida State
University (MFA). For the last 48 years I have worked at the intersection of traditional
mediums and digital technology producing prints, drawings, and handmade books. Today
my etching and lithography presses have been replaced by large format digital printers and
my primary drawing tools are 3D animation and game design programs. These softwares
allow me to make images by simulating complexity and also to use artificial intelligence as a
drawing tool.

I have been fortunate to be a visiting artist in Belgium, France, Israel, Spain, and the American
Academy in Rome. My prints, animations, and digital work have been exhibited nationally
and internationally and are included in many public and private collections.
