About The Artist

Growing up in the vibrant culture of Barbados, I developed a deep love for rich, beautiful colors. These colors were not just visual experiences for me—they were stories waiting to be told. I’ve carried this love for color and storytelling into every piece of my art, and it continues to influence the work I create today.

When I moved to New York and began raising my children, my exposure to the city’s unique blend of fashion and design opened my eyes to new dimensions of creativity. New York, with its fast pace and eclectic style, became my playground for exploring new techniques and expressing myself through art in fresh ways.

This freedom to explore different styles of painting has been a gift—one that has allowed me to experiment with a variety of mediums and techniques, including oil, acrylic, and mixed media. My work today is rooted in contemporary abstract art, with a strong emphasis on layering. Each layer adds depth, meaning, and complexity, much like the layers of my own experiences.

I invite you to explore my art and the stories I tell through each brushstroke, each color, and each texture.
