About The Artist

Emily is originally from the state of Maine, but has been a Naples, FL resident for 30 years. She is married to a native Floridian and a proud mom to a daughter and son who both recently completed their college studies. Emily’s education includes a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine. She is a registered professional engineer in Maine & Florida and an Accredited Airport Executive through the American Association of Airport Executives. Emily is currently the Deputy Executive Director of Development for the Lee County Port Authority with oversight of projects at the Southwest Florida International and Page Field Airports in Fort Myers. She has been with the Authority for 29+ years and has had the privilege to lead many large capital projects over several decades. Prior to joining the Port Authority, she worked for over 7 years as an aviation consultant on design/construction projects in New England & Florida.

Her strongest passion is creating or appreciating art. Emily learned to paint in her early teens thanks to her “Nana” who took the time to teach her and take her to an oil painting art class…….she quickly learned that she loved painting. Since that time she discovered watercolor painting and more recently acrylic painting and has attended some art workshops and classes, but is mostly self-taught. Emily gravitates towards New England and Florida/Tropical landscapes & seascapes, and florals, but is excited to learn new mediums and techniques. She welcomes the opportunity of having a dedicated work space for creating art and being among other artistic people who share her love for nature, beauty and art. In her leisure time she enjoys the beach, boating, paddle boarding, snow skiing, golfing, and biking.
